Eilish Bell
was a convincing winner of the V2 masters section in the Culmore
5km on Saturday last. The Culdaff based athlete finish in 21
minutes and 23 seconds for the 3.1 mile event, which was held
in conjunction with the Culmore festival. Carndonagh athlete
Willie McKinney ran an even-paced race to finish in 18.30.
At the Claremorris 8k, Oliver Mc Geehan ran 30.37. The Sligo
base fitness instructor was well pleased with his efforts as
he prepares for the Dublin marathon at the end of October. Meanwhile,
Finbarr Gallagher finished 45th out of some 217 finishers at
the Jude Gallagher memorial 10 mile road race in Limavady on
Wednesday last. The Glenties native set a personal best of 65
minutes and 10 seconds.

Rathmullen is the venue on Friday 4 July for race number 10
in the Donegal Grand Prix series. The event gets underway at
7.30 pm. The Strabane 10k run and walk will take place on Saturday
5 July at 11.30, while the Donegal Grand Prix continues with
the J.G Memorial 4.2 miles road race in Cranford on Friday 11
July at 7.30pm.
