Posted Date: 28-May-2008 Wednes

Brigid Moohan set a new personal best for the marathon on Sunday last when she ran an excellant 3 hours and 33 minutes in Edinburgh. The Moville Community College teacher, who hails from Frosses had to content with strong head winds for almost half the distance. Twenty eight juveniles from Inishowen A.C. competed in the Donegal Children’s Games in the Finn Valley Centre on Thursday last. The children participated in a range of track and field events including sprint and middle distance races, ball throw, shot putt, high jump. Several of the team won medals in their events and will have no doubt gained much from the experience. The team included Nathan Harkin, Feargal Doherty, Darren Donaghey, Declan Donaghey, William O’ Callaghan, Aine Bradley, Tony Morrison, Matthew Cavanagh, Caoimhe Mc Laughlin, Padraig Mc Laughlin, Darragh Kelly, Derek Lee Doherty Doherty, Oisin Hession, Connie-Ann Hession, Grainne Hession, Paula McLaughlin. A special word of thanks to all the parents who attended the event and helped out with organizing the team.
