Inishowen
Athletics Club’s women’s team maintained their fine
vain of form with a second place finish at the Waterside half
marathon on Saturday last. This performance followed on from their
bronze medals won at the National half marathon in Ballybofey
6 days earlier. Helena Crossan was once again to the forefront
with a fine display to finish in 1.23.39. She was well supported
by Brigid Moohan who clocked a season’s best of 1.39.57.
Culdaff athlete Margaret O’Donnell posted a time of 1.48.35
with Patricia Barnett completing the team with 2.19.51. Finbarr
Gallagher clocked an impressive 1.23.26 with Declan Caldwell,
1.27.27. Shane Doherty. 1.28.28 and Shuan Mc Laughlin 1.32.45
all setting lifetime bests in the glorious conditions at Gransha
Park. Sean Dohertry was in personal best form also, clocking 1.32.22.
The ever consistent Willie John Mc Laughlin finished in 2.06.48.

from the National half marathon held in Ballybofey in Sunday week
last were 2 hours, three minutes and.24 seconds for Breege Collins
and 2.03.37 for Susan Mc Grath.
